This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of western and north
central Nebraska.

.DAY ONE...Tonight.

Severe thunderstorms will be possible this afternoon and evening
over most of western and north central Nebraska. Expected hazards
include large hail, damaging wind gusts in excess of 75 miles per
hour, and isolated tornadoes. Additionally, storms may produce
locally heavy rain fall, especially for areas east of a line from
Maywood, to Stapleton, to Atkinson, to Spencer.

There are two areas of concern for severe thunderstorms. The first
area is over northwestern Nebraska including Sheridan, Cherry, Garden
and Grant counties. In these areas, large hail and damaging winds
are the main severe threats. The other area of concern is over
southwestern into central Nebraska, or locations roughly south of a
line from Ogallala to Broken Bow. In these areas, large hail,
damaging winds and an isolated tornado is possible. The threat for
severe storms should decrease by late evening as activity tracks east
of the area.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday.

Another round of strong to severe thunderstorms are possible
Wednesday afternoon and evening across the area in advance of an
approaching cold front. Beyond Wednesday night, there are additional
chances for showers and thunderstorms, however, the severe threat
beyond Wednesday is uncertain at this time.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation may be needed late this afternoon and evening
particularly over southwestern into portions of central Nebraska.
