Through 100 am, isolated showers and thunderstorms will wax and wane across the outer Gulf waters as well as the nearshore waters north of the island chain. This activity is drifting west to southwest at 10 to 15 knots and the stronger activity will be capable of brief bouts of lightning, wind gusts from 25 to 30 knots, and reduced visibility within pockets of moderate to brief heavy downpours. $$ AJP
