...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHWESTERN ST. JOHNS...
NORTHEASTERN PUTNAM AND EAST CENTRAL CLAY COUNTIES THROUGH 430 PM
EDT...

At 357 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm
capable of producing a waterspout over the St. Johns River near
Bostwick, or near Hastings, moving southwest at 10 mph.

HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts around 40 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally
         hazardous waters. Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs
         and blow around unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Palatka, Hastings, East Palatka, Bostwick, Federal Point, Orange
Mills, Bardin, San Mateo, Hollister, and Satsuma.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
