The areas affected include... Coastal waters from Altamaha Sound to Fernandina Beach FL out 20 NM... Coastal waters from Fernandina Beach to St. Augustine FL out 20 NM... Waters from Altamaha Sound GA to Fernandina Beach FL from 20 to 60 NM... At 1158 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated boundaries colliding along the southeast Georgia waters and into Fernandina Beach developing thunderstorms that could produce winds to around 30 knots and waterspouts. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher waves, and lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe harbor immediately until these storms pass. Waterspouts are possible with this activity. If a waterspout occurs, move your boat away from it.
