Tranquil weather conditions prevailed across central and eastern
Kansas last night. Predawn temperatures were in the 50s and 60s
with light north winds.

Weak surface high pressure will build over the central plains
today with light winds and below normal July daytime highs.
Daytime highs will range from the upper 70s in northern Nebraska
to the upper 80s in central Oklahoma.

A upper level wave will move across the northern states tonight
and bring chances of thunderstorms to parts of western Nebraska.
Otherwise quiet weather conditions are expected to continue for
much of the Heartland tonight. Overnight lows will range from 50s
in Nebraska to the mid 60s in central Oklahoma.
