...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT SOUTHERN COLBERT...FRANKLIN AND
NORTHWESTERN LAWRENCE COUNTIES THROUGH 145 PM CDT...

At 108 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a broken line of strong
thunderstorms extending from near Leighton to near Littleville to 6
miles north of Belgreen to near Red Bay. Movement was south-
southeast at 20 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts 35-45 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Muscle Shoals, Russellville, Tuscumbia, Red Bay, Phil Campbell, Town
Creek, Littleville, Leighton, Belgreen, and Vina.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
