...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTHEASTERN YORK AND SOUTH
CENTRAL CUMBERLAND COUNTIES THROUGH 645 PM EDT...

At 616 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Gorham, or near Westbrook, moving east at 30 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Portland, South Portland, Westbrook, Cumberland, Gorham, Falmouth,
Buxton, Standish, Scarborough, and Windham.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 295 between mile markers 3 and 13.
 Interstate 95 between mile markers 46 and 54.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 800 PM EDT for
southwestern Maine.
