...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTH CENTRAL MECKLENBURG AND
WEST CENTRAL UNION COUNTIES THROUGH 530 PM EDT...

At 503 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 9
miles northeast of Indian Land, or near Stallings, moving southeast
at 10 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Monroe, Matthews, Indian Trail, Weddington, Stallings, Wesley Chapel,
Lake Park, and South Charlotte.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead
to localized nuisance flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through
flooded roadways.
