Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Southwest Lower Michigan
National Weather Service Grand Rapids MI
301 AM EDT Fri Jul 5 2024

...Showers and Storms Today...

.DISCUSSION...Showers and storms are expected today, especially
north of I96. The first round will impact mainly the Manistee
National Forest area counties this morning, and the second will
affect all of West Michigan this afternoon. The heaviest rainfall
(0.5"-1") is expected near US10 with less further south. A moist
airmass keeps minimum RH values above 50 percent the next few days,
and winds remain below 20 mph so elevated fire weather conditions
are not expected.
