The Flood Advisory is cancelled for a portion of southwest Michigan,
including the following areas, Kent and Ottawa.

Urban and small stream flooding is no longer expected to pose a
threat. Please continue to heed remaining road closures.

...FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1145 AM EDT THIS MORNING...

* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive
  rainfall continues.

* WHERE...A portion of southwest Michigan, including the following
  counties, Allegan, Barry, Kalamazoo and Van Buren.

* WHEN...Until 1145 AM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 750 AM EDT, Radar and automated rain gauges indicated than
    heavy rain had fallen over the advisory area.  Rainfall
    amounts of 1.5 to 2.5 inches were common in the advisory
    area. This will cause minor urban and small stream flooding.
  - No additional heavy rain is expected this morning.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Holland, Allegan, South Haven, Wayland, Otsego, Plainwell,
    Middleville, Bangor, Fennville, Saugatuck, Martin, Gull Lake,
    Van Buren SP, Dorr, Alamo, Orangeville, Irving, Pine Grove,
    Covert and Ganges.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
