...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHEASTERN GARFIELD COUNTY
THROUGH 500 PM MDT...

At 430 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Rifle, or 20 miles west of Glenwood Springs, moving northeast at 25
mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Rifle, New Castle, and Silt.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 70 in Colorado between mile markers 89 and 111.
 Colorado 13 mile marker 1 and near mile marker 3.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
