...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT CENTRAL DELTA AND NORTH CENTRAL
MESA COUNTIES THROUGH 615 PM MDT...

At 549 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 8
miles east of Palisade, or 19 miles east of Grand Junction, moving
east at 25 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Collbran, Mesa, Skyway, Grand Mesa, Plateau City, and Molina.

This includes Colorado 65 between mile markers 20 and 21, and between
mile markers 24 and 51.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Brief heavy rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
