...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTH CENTRAL GARFIELD COUNTY
THROUGH 430 PM MDT...

At 359 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 8
miles north of Collbran, or 33 miles southwest of Glenwood Springs,
moving northeast at 35 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Rifle.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 70 in Colorado between mile markers 83 and 92.
 Colorado 13 between mile markers 1 and 2.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
