207 FNUS75 KGJT 152027 FWSGJT Spot Forecast for Babylon1...Forest Service National Weather Service Grand Junction CO 227 PM MDT Mon Jul 15 2024 Forecast is based on forecast start time of 0600 MDT on July 16. If conditions become unrepresentative, contact the National Weather Service. .DISCUSSION... High pressure will remain centered over northern New Mexico and will move westward over the coming days. Flow around the high will allow moisture to continue streaming into the area. Daytime heating and weak impulses will cause afternoon/evening showers and storms to form each day heading into the weekend. Where this convection sets up will be difficult to pin down day by day but the chance does exist for some convection to fire around the wildfire. Outside of any convection, winds will be west through northwesterly around 10 to 12 mph. `Might` see a downturn in activity over the wildfire Friday and Saturday as flow becomes more northerly. .TUESDAY...
