...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 1230 AM MDT TUESDAY...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Portions of northwest and west central Colorado, including
  the following counties, in northwest Colorado, Eagle and Garfield.
  In west central Colorado, Pitkin.

* WHEN...Until 1230 AM MDT.

* IMPACTS...Water over roadways. Overflowing poor drainage areas.
  Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is
  imminent.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 1039 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
    shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.3 and 0.6 inches of
    rain have fallen.
  - Portions of the Lake Christine burn scar could be especially
    susceptible to experience minor flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Carbondale, Basalt, Emma and El Jebel.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
