...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM MDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of northwest Colorado, including the following
  county, Rio Blanco.

* WHEN...Until 600 PM MDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
  Ponding of water along county roads is occurring or is imminent.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 258 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
    shortly along County Road 5 and along the Piceance Creek
    drainage. Between 0.3 and 1.0 inch of rain have fallen over
    this corridor today, with an additional 0.3 to 0.5 inches
    possible.
  - County Road 5 along Piceance Creek is the most likely place
    to experience minor flooding and rock slides due to heavy
    rain.

    mainly rural areas of Central Rio Blanco County

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
