...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 730 PM MDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of northwest Colorado, including the following
  county, Rio Blanco.

* WHEN...Until 730 PM MDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
  Rises in small streams and normally dry arroyos. River or stream
  flows are elevated.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 531 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
    shortly in Piceance Creek. Between 0.3 and 0.8 inches of rain
    have fallen.
  - Piceance Creek along County Road 5 is the most likely place
    to experience minor flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    mainly rural areas of Central Rio Blanco County

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
