South Central Grand County in east central Utah... North Central San Juan County in southeastern Utah... * Until 600 PM MDT. * At 259 PM MDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated strong thunderstorms producing heavy rain across Canyonlands, and is approaching the town of Moab, Spanish Valley and Castle Valley. Between 0.3 and 0.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding. SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges. IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Moab, Castle Valley, Spanish Valley, Arches National Park and Dead Horse Point State Park. This includes the following highways... Utah 128 between mile markers 0 and 19.
