...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT MITCHELL...SOUTHEASTERN JEWELL
AND OSBORNE COUNTIES THROUGH 1145 PM CDT...

At 1116 PM CDT, an automated weather station reported strong
thunderstorms along a line extending from 6 miles northeast of
Randall to 6 miles east of Natoma. Movement was east at 40 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Strong thunderstorms will be near...
  Beloit, Glen Elder, Tipton, and Randall around 1120 PM CDT.
  Scottsville around 1125 PM CDT.
  Hunter around 1135 PM CDT.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until midnight CDT for
north central Kansas.
