...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT SOUTHERN PHELPS...GOSPER...
NORTHERN FURNAS AND NORTHERN HARLAN COUNTIES THROUGH 845 PM CDT...

At 815 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Loomis to 9 miles southwest of Bertrand to
near Medicine Creek Reservoir State Recreation Area. Movement was
southeast at 35 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Holdrege, Cambridge, Arapahoe, Oxford, Bertrand, Elwood, Loomis,
Holbrook, Edison, Atlanta, Smithfield, Ragan, and Johnson Lake.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

These storms may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until midnight CDT for
south central Nebraska.
