This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for south central Nebraska and
portions of north central Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

Thunderstorm chances remain in the forecast for the entire outlook
area during the daytime hours today, then focused across portions
of north central Kansas tonight. There will be the potential for
some storms to be strong to severe this afternoon and early
evening, mainly for locations along and south of a line from
Geneva Nebraska to Phillipsburg Kansas. Hail near the size of
quarters and wind gusts near 60 MPH look to be the primary
hazards, and any heavy rain that falls over areas that have
picked up a few inches in the past few days could result in
flooding issues.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday.

On Wednesday, chances for thunderstorms linger into the daytime
hours, but better chances spread across the outlook area
Wednesday evening into the overnight hours. There will be the
potential for some of these evening and overnight storms to be
strong to severe, especially for areas along and west of Highway
183. Hail near the size of quarters and wind gusts near 60 MPH
would be the primary hazards.

For Thursday, Independence Day, chances for thunderstorms remain
in the forecast, but are expected to be during the morning and
early afternoon hours...ending by evening for fireworks
activities. Severe weather is currently not anticipated.

Periodic thunderstorm chances return to the forecast for Saturday
through Monday.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotters are encouraged to report any severe weather or flooding
that might occur later this afternoon and early evening.
