This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for south central Nebraska and
portions of north central Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

Weak, non severe thunderstorms will be possible this morning into
the afternoon, mainly for areas along and south of Interstate 80.

More widespread thunderstorms are forecast to redevelop late
tonight and continue into Monday morning. Isolated instances of
marginally severe hail will be possible with the strongest storms.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday.

Intermittent thunderstorm chances continue through much of the
upcoming week, including Independence Day. The main time frame of
concern for particularly severe storms currently appears to be
late Monday afternoon into Monday night over south central
Nebraska. Large hail up to at least golf ball size, damaging wind
gusts to 70 MPH, and a few tornadoes will be possible. Another
round of severe storms with hail and strong winds could develop
along a cold front Tuesday afternoon and evening, mainly south and
east of the Tri-Cities. Locally heavy rain could also become a
concern next week, especially for any areas that experience
multiple rounds of rain.

Hot weather makes a return Monday and Tuesday, particularly for
counties along and south of the Nebraska-Kansas border, where heat
index readings of at least 100 to 105 degrees are most favored. A
Heat Advisory may eventually be issued for these areas,
especially given the potential for very little relief from the
heat Monday night.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
Spotters are encouraged to report any wind gusts of 50+ MPH
and/or hail that might occur in parts of the area tonight.
