Nebraska.

Flooding is no longer expected to pose a threat. Please continue to
heed remaining road closures.

...FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 230 AM CDT TUESDAY...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE...A portion of south central Nebraska, including the
  following counties, Buffalo, Dawson, Furnas, Gosper, Harlan,
  Kearney and Phelps.

* WHEN...Until 230 AM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 1133 PM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges
    indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is
    ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area.
    Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.25 inches are expected
    over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
    flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Kearney, Holdrege, Gibbon, Shelton, Elm Creek, Oxford,
    Bertrand, Axtell, Overton, Odessa, Loomis, Funk, Riverdale,
    Edison, Atlanta and Smithfield.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
