Hot and humid weather will continue to produce dangerous heat index values between 105 and 110 this afternoon. Thunderstorms will impact portions of East Texas this afternoon. The strongest storms could produce strong downburst winds. Additional storms may affect parts of North and East Texas this evening and into the overnight hours. Severe weather is not anticipated. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday. Oppressive heat with heat index values between 105 to 110 will persist into next week.
