...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT APACHE COUNTY NEAR FORT DEFIANCE
THROUGH 1145 AM MST...

At 1113 AM MST, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms over Fort Defiance, or 25 miles northwest of Gallup,
moving east at 30 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Piney Hill, Window Rock Airport, St. Michaels, Window Rock, Fort
Defiance, Sawmill, and Hunters Point.

This includes State Route 264 between mile markers 459 and 475.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
