234 WGUS85 KFGZ 010549 FLSFGZ Flood Advisory National Weather Service Flagstaff AZ 1049 PM MST Sun Jun 30 2024 AZC005-010730- /O.CON.KFGZ.FA.Y.0012.000000T0000Z-240701T0730Z/ /00000.N.ER.000000T0000Z.000000T0000Z.000000T0000Z.OO/ Coconino AZ- 1049 PM MST Sun Jun 30 2024 ...FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1230 AM MST MONDAY... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...Between Munds Park and Sedona in Coconino County. * WHEN...Until 1230 AM MST. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in creeks and normally dry washes is imminent or occurring. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1047 PM MST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. - This includes the following creeks, washes and rivers... Jacks Canyon, Dry Beaver Creek and Oak Creek. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Sedona, Schnebly Hill Overlook, Grasshopper Point Swimming Hole, Munds Park, Midgely Bridge Swimming Hole and Encinoso Swimming Hole. - This includes the following swimming holes... Grasshopper Point and Midgely Bridge. This includes the following highways... Interstate 17 between mile markers 318 and 324. State Route 179 between mile markers 312 and 313. Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
