...FLOOD ADVISORY EAST OF CHINO VALLEY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 430
PM MST THIS AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE...Areas east of Chino Valley, in Yavapai County.

* WHEN...Until 430 PM MST.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in creeks and normally dry washes is
  imminent or occurring. Ponding of water on interstates, highways
  and in urban areas will create hazardous travel conditions.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 220 PM MST, Doppler radar indicated that the heavy rain
    from thunderstorms has decreased in intensity across the
    advised area. However, rain runoff will occur resulting in
    minor flooding in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2.25
    inches of rain have fallen.
  - This includes the following creeks, washes and rivers...
    Munds Draw, Little Chino Valley, Granite Creek and Verde
    River.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Chino Valley.
  - Visit www.weather.gov/safety/flood for more information on
    flood safety.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
