933 WGUS85 KFGZ 012348 FLSFGZ Flood Advisory National Weather Service Flagstaff AZ 448 PM MST Mon Jul 1 2024 AZC025-020145- /O.CON.KFGZ.FA.Y.0014.000000T0000Z-240702T0145Z/ /00000.N.ER.000000T0000Z.000000T0000Z.000000T0000Z.OO/ Yavapai AZ- 448 PM MST Mon Jul 1 2024 ...FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR THE VERDE VALLEY UNTIL 645 PM MST THIS EVENING... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...A portion of west central Arizona, including the following county, Yavapai. * WHEN...Until 645 PM MST. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in creeks and normally dry washes is imminent or occurring. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 446 PM MST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain has ended over the area. Runoff from the earlier heavy rain will cause minor flooding in the advisory area. Between 0.75 and 1.25 inches of rain have fallen. - This includes the following creeks, washes and rivers... Cherry Creek, Grief Hill Wash, Verde River, Oak Wash, Blowout Creek, Gaddis Wash, Oak Creek, Beaver Creek and Dry Beaver Creek. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Camp Verde, Clarkdale, Verde Village, Bridgeport, Cottonwood, Cornville, Cottonwood Airport, Beaverhead Flat, Montezuma Castle National Monument, Bignotti, Out of Africa Wildlife Park, Jordan, Dead Horse Ranch State Park. - This includes the following recreation areas and campgrounds... Red-Tail Hawk Loop Campground, Quail Loop Campground and Raven Loop Campground. This includes the following highways... State Route 260 between mile markers 207 and 218. Interstate 17 between mile markers 288 and 294. State Route 89A between mile markers 350 and 357. - Visit www.weather.gov/safety/flood for more information on flood safety. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Low water crossings will become dangerous in heavy rain.
