...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 945 PM MST THIS
EVENING FOR GILA AND COCONINO COUNTIES...

At 842 PM MST, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms produced heavy
rain across a broad area from Forest Lakes southwestward. Between 2
and 3 inches of rain fell. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to
begin shortly in area drainages.

HAZARD...Life-threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing
         flash flooding.

SOURCE...Radar.

IMPACT...Life-threatening flash flooding of low-water crossings,
         creeks, normally dry washes and roads.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Forest Lakes, Mogollon Rim Visitor Center, Sinkhole CG, Colcord
  Ridge CG, Willow Springs Canyon Lake, Two Sixty Trailhead, Haigler
  Creek, Crook CG, Mogollon CG, Woods Canyon Lake, Rim Campground,
  Forest Road 171 Campground, Sinkhole Campground, Haigler Canyon
  Campground, Crook Campground, Spillway Campground, Mogollon
  Campground, Woods Canyon Lake Campground, Alderwood Campground and
  Airplane Flat Campground.

This includes the following recreation areas and campgrounds...
Woods Canyon Lake Campground, Spillway Campground, Sinkhole
Campground, Rim Campground, Forest Road 237 Camping Area, Mogollon
Rim Campground and Upper Canyon Creek Campground.

This includes State Route 260 between mile markers 279 and 290.

This includes the following creeks, washes and rivers...
  Wildcat Canyon and Chevelon Canyon.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Flooding of washes and creeks will occur, some dirt roads will
become muddy and impassable. Paved roads and underpasses could
become flooded as well.

Low water crossings will become dangerous in heavy rain. Do not
attempt to cross flooded roads. Find an alternate route.
