...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTH CENTRAL SIERRA...
NORTHEASTERN LUNA AND WEST CENTRAL DONA ANA COUNTIES THROUGH 530 PM
MDT...

At 458 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 4
miles west of Salem, moving northwest at 15 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Arrey, Salem, Lake Valley, Derry, Garfield, and Uvas Valley.

This includes Interstate 25 in New Mexico between mile markers 41 and
54.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
