...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHWESTERN OTERO AND EAST
CENTRAL DONA ANA COUNTIES THROUGH 330 PM MDT...

At 255 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 6
miles north of Chaparral, moving northwest at 20 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and nickel size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Chaparral.

This includes Highway 54 in New Mexico between mile markers 8 and 9.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
