The National Weather Service in El Paso Tx/Santa Teresa has extended
the

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  The South Fork and Salt Fire burn scars in...
  North Central Otero in south central New Mexico...

* Until 1000 PM MDT.

* At 753 PM MDT, Emergency management reported thunderstorms
  producing heavy rain over the South Fork and Salt Fire burn scars.
  Up to 5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up
  to 0.5 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is
  ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

This is a life threatening situation. Heavy rainfall will cause
extensive and severe flash flooding of creeks...streams...and
ditches in the South Fork and Salt Fire burn scars. Severe debris
flows can also be anticipated across roads. Roads and driveways may
be washed away in places. If you encounter flood waters...climb to
safety.
