.DISCUSSION...Southwest winds build again this afternoon and continue
into this evening, then weaken an hour or two after midnight. An
approaching upper level shortwave trough is expected to lower afternoon
temperatures a couple degrees Saturday as compared to Friday and
bring moisture to the area, both of which should improve afternoon
minimum RH values this weekend. Additionally, this should disrupt
the enhanced afternoon up-valley S wind pattern seen the last
couple days, with winds shifting toward the west. Wind speeds are
expected to be similar at ridge level (10 to 15 mph, but from the
WNW) to the past couple of days, but the shift of direction could
disrupt the up-valley flow...leading possibly to more sheltered
areas and lighter winds at the burn site.
