...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in
Kansas...Missouri...

  Missouri River at Atchison affecting Buchanan, Atchison and
  Platte Counties.

  Missouri River at Leavenworth affecting Leavenworth and Platte
  Counties.

  Missouri River At Miami affecting Chariton, Saline and Carroll
  Counties.

  Missouri River at Napoleon affecting Jackson, Ray and Lafayette
  Counties.

  Missouri River at Waverly affecting Saline, Carroll and Lafayette
  Counties.

  Missouri River at St Joseph affecting Buchanan, Doniphan and
  Andrew Counties.

  Missouri River above Parkville affecting Leavenworth, Wyandotte
  and Platte Counties.

  Missouri River at Boonville affecting Howard, Boone, Cooper and
  Moniteau Counties.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Missouri River at Atchison.

* WHEN...Until further notice.

* IMPACTS...At 22.0 feet, Low-lying areas on the Missouri side of
  the river begin to flood.
  At 25.0 feet, A castings plant in Atchison is affected by flood
  waters.
  At 27.0 feet, River Road in Atchison floods and levees on the
  Missouri side of the river are overtopped. If the river remains
  above 27 feet for several days then U.S. Highway 59 and large
  portions of the floodplain in Missouri flood.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 8:30 PM CDT Monday the stage was 24.5 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 26.4
    feet Thursday evening.
  - Flood stage is 22.0 feet.

...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Missouri River at Leavenworth.

* WHEN...Until further notice.

* IMPACTS...At 20.0 feet, Lowland flooding occurs along the east and
  west banks of the river.
  At 22.3 feet, Water enters Riverfront Park in Leavenworth. In
  addition, 2nd Street at the waste water treatment plant is closed
  due to high water. Persons should vacate the park to avoid the
  loss of life and property.
  At 23.4 feet, The Hildebrandt Island north of Fort Leavenworth
  begins to flood and families in this area need to evacuate.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 8:00 PM CDT Monday the stage was 20.2 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 22.1
    feet Thursday evening.
  - Flood stage is 20.0 feet.

  begin to flood.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 8:59 AM CDT Monday the stage was 20.2 feet.
  - Forecast...The river will rise to 23.9 feet early Wednesday
    afternoon. It will then fall early Thursday morning. It will
    have a secondary rise to 24.5 feet Saturday morning. It will
    then fall again but remain above flood stage.
  - Flood stage is 18.0 feet.

  At 24.5 feet, The Missouri-Pacific Railroad tracks are overtopped.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 8:00 PM CDT Monday the stage was 20.7 feet.
  - Forecast...The river will rise to 22.7 feet tomorrow evening.
    It will then fall early Wednesday afternoon. It will have a
    secondary rise to 22.9 feet Friday evening. It will then fall
    again but remain above flood stage.
  - Flood stage is 17.0 feet.

  - Forecast...The river will rise to 25.8 feet Wednesday
    morning. It will then fall Wednesday evening. It will a
    secondary rise to 26.4 feet early Saturday morning. It will
    then fall again but remain above flood stage.
  - Flood stage is 20.0 feet.

  forecast.

* WHERE...Missouri River at St Joseph.

* WHEN...Until further notice.

* IMPACTS...At 17.0 feet, Lowland flooding upstream and downstream
  from St. Joseph occurs.
  At 19.0 feet, Backwater from the Missouri River floods property
  along the Nodaway river at Nodaway, Missouri.
  At 21.0 feet, Riverfront Park in St. Joseph begins to flood.
  At 24.0 feet, A residential area in northwest St. Joseph begins to
  flood.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 7:35 PM CDT Monday the stage was 22.0 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 24.2
    feet Thursday morning.
  - Flood stage is 17.0 feet.

* WHERE...Missouri River above Parkville.

* WHEN...From Tuesday afternoon until further notice.

* IMPACTS...At 28.0 feet, Water reaches the bottom of the South Main
  Street Bridge and a significant portion of English Landing Park
  floods.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 7:45 PM CDT Monday the stage was 24.6 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    tomorrow afternoon and continue rising to a crest of 27.2
    feet Friday morning.
  - Flood stage is 25.0 feet.

NOTICE...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Missouri River at Boonville.

* WHEN...From late Tuesday night until further notice.

* IMPACTS...At 21.0 feet, Low-lying rural areas along the river
  flood.
  At 23.8 feet, Easley River Road and Smith Hatchery Road begin to
  flood.
  At 25.0 feet, Numerous farm levees are overtopped. Flooding of
  agricultural land and secondary roads occurs.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 8:04 PM CDT Monday the stage was 18.8 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    early Wednesday morning and continue rising to 24.0 feet
    early Saturday afternoon. Additional rises are possible
    thereafter.
  - Flood stage is 21.0 feet.
