* Tornado Warning for...
  Southwestern Cedar County in east central Iowa...
  Southern Johnson County in east central Iowa...
  Northeastern Washington County in southeastern Iowa...
  Northwestern Muscatine County in east central Iowa...
  Southeastern Iowa County in east central Iowa...

* Until 630 PM CDT.

* At 548 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
  was located over Amish, or 14 miles southwest of Iowa City, moving
  east at 45 mph.

  HAZARD...Tornado.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

  IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
           shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed.
           Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree
           damage is likely.

* This dangerous storm will be near...
  Iowa City, Kalona, University Heights, Riverside, Hills, Sharon
  Center, Iowa City Municipal Airport, Cosgrove, Hills Access, and
  Johnson County Fairgrounds around 555 PM CDT.
  Coralville, River Junction, and University Of Iowa around 600 PM
  CDT.
  Lone Tree around 605 PM CDT.

Other locations in the path of this tornadic thunderstorm include
West Branch, West Liberty, Herbert Hoover National Historic Site,
Nichols, Springdale and Muscatine County Fairgrounds.

This includes Interstate 80 in Iowa between mile markers 248 and 263.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest
floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a
mobile home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter
and protect yourself from flying debris.
