...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Iowa...

  Cedar River at Vinton affecting Benton County.

  Cedar River AT Palo Blairs Ferry Rd affecting Linn County.

  Cedar River at Cedar Rapids affecting Cedar County.

  Cedar River near Conesville affecting Louisa and Muscatine
  Counties.

  Cedar River at Cedar Bluff affecting Cedar, Muscatine and Johnson
  Counties.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

The next statement will be issued by Friday morning at 1130 AM CDT.

EVENING...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Cedar River at Vinton.

* WHEN...From this afternoon to tomorrow evening.

* IMPACTS...At 15.0 feet, Minor Flood Stage. Agricultural and low
  land flooding is ongoing. Water affects much of 22nd Avenue Road
  northwest of Vinton.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 10:15 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 14.6 feet and rising.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    late this afternoon to a crest of 15.3 feet just after
    midnight tonight. It will then fall below flood stage late
    tomorrow morning.
  - Flood stage is 15.0 feet.

* WHEN...From this evening to late Saturday evening.

* IMPACTS...At 13.0 feet, Portions of Linn Drive in Palo are
  affected by flood waters.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 10:15 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 11.9 feet and rising.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    this evening to a crest of 13.2 feet early tomorrow
    afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage Saturday
    afternoon.
  - Flood stage is 12.5 feet.

  - At 11:00 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 10.9 feet and rising.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    late this evening to a crest of 14.2 feet early Saturday
    morning. It will then fall below flood stage Sunday morning.
  - Flood stage is 12.0 feet.

  G28 and affects several gravel roads.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 11:00 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 12.0 feet and rising.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    tomorrow afternoon to a crest of 15.3 feet Sunday evening. It
    will then fall below flood stage late Wednesday morning.
  - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

MORNING...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Cedar River at Cedar Bluff.

* WHEN...From Friday evening to early Monday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 18.0 feet, Water begins to affect access to the
  Sutliff Recreation Bridge. The lowest sections of West Rochester
  Ave north of West Rochester Road are also affected by water,
  limiting access to residents in the Rainbow Valley Subdivision.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 11:00 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 12.2 feet and rising.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    late tomorrow evening to a crest of 17.1 feet Saturday
    evening. It will then fall below flood stage Sunday
    afternoon.
  - Flood stage is 16.0 feet.
