...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in Iowa...

  Des Moines River near Stratford affecting Hamilton, Webster and
  Boone Counties.

  East Fork Des Moines River near Algona affecting Kossuth and
  Humboldt Counties.

...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Iowa...

  Des Moines River at Fort Dodge affecting Webster County.

  West Fork Des Moines River at Humboldt affecting Humboldt County.

  West Fork Des Moines River at Emmetsburg affecting Palo Alto and
  Pocahontas Counties.

  West Fork Des Moines River at Estherville affecting Emmet County.

.These forecasts are conditional and dependent on rainfall amounts
across portions of northern and central Iowa through 7 AM Wednesday.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

For the latest river and stream observations and forecasts refer to
weather.gov/desmoines/water.

River forecasts include observed precipitation plus forecast
precipitation through 7 AM Wednesday.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...The Des Moines River near Stratford, or from the Boone
  River to near the City of Boone.

* WHEN...Until late Saturday evening.

* IMPACTS...At 19.0 feet, Water affects 157th St on the west side of
  Fraser.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 8:00 PM CDT Monday the stage was 19.0 feet.
  - Forecast...The river will remain near to below flood stage
    through tonight into Tuesday morning. It will then rise above
    flood stage late tomorrow evening and crest at 19.7 feet
    early Friday morning.
  - Flood stage is 19.0 feet.

  Buffalo Creek near Burt to Lotts Creek near Livermore.

* WHEN...Until early Saturday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 17.0 feet, Water threatens US 169 south of Algona and
  affects some rural roads.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 8:15 PM CDT Monday the stage was 16.9 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    early Thursday morning and crest at 17.2 feet early Thursday
    afternoon.
  - Flood stage is 17.0 feet.

    week.
