...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Iowa...

  West Fork Des Moines River at Humboldt affecting Humboldt County.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

For the latest river and stream observations and forecasts refer to
weather.gov/desmoines/water.

River forecasts include observed precipitation plus forecast
precipitation over the next 24 hours.

...FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE...

* WHAT...Major flooding is occurring and major flooding is forecast.
  This event has resulted in a new flood of record.

* WHERE...The West Fork Des Moines River at Humboldt, or from Joe
  Reasoner Dam to the East Fork Des Moines River.

* WHEN...Until further notice.

* IMPACTS...At 14.5 feet, Water affects houses along W River Dr.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 4:15 AM CDT Sunday the stage was 15.6 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to continue a slow fall, but
    remain in major or moderate flood stage through much of next
    week.
  - Flood stage is 10.0 feet.
