...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL WEDNESDAY JULY 10...

* WHAT...Minor flooding ongoing.

* WHERE...In Minnesota, in north central Minnesota, Koochiching
  County. In northeast Minnesota, St. Louis County.

* WHEN...Until Wednesday July 10.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding along lake shores and in backwater areas.
  River or stream flows are elevated.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 321 PM CDT Wednesday, gauge reports indicated high water
    with steady water level rises ongoing. Minor flooding is
    already occurring in the advisory area.
  - Primary impacts are expected to the lowest lying structures
    along lakes including docks, boat houses, and buildings and
    roads that are close to the shoreline.
    - Gradual rates of rise will continue on Namakan, Kabetogama,
    and Rainy Lakes, but should not increase beyond the rates
    already observed.
    - Water levels are anticipated to peak late this week and
    through the weekend in the headwaters. Levels may peak across
    Namakan and Kabetogama Lakes early to mid next week. Water
    will be slow to come down once it starts receding and
    additional rainfall may lengthen the time of high water.
    - Boaters should expect high water, potentially hidden
    underwater hazards, and strong currents in constricted areas.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    International Falls, Kabetogama, Crane Lake, Kettle Falls,
    Voyageurs National Park, Rainy Lake, Kabetogama Lake,
    northwestern Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness, Ranier,
    Johnson Lake, Sand Point Lake, Loon Lake, Lac La Croix,
    Island View, Lake Agnes and Crooked Lake.
  - Flood safety information can be found at
    www.weather.gov/safety/flood.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
