Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Southeast Wyoming/Western Nebraska
National Weather Service CHEYENNE WY
142 PM MDT Thu Jul 11 2024

HEAT ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM NOON TO 7 PM MDT FRIDAY

.DISCUSSION...

Expect very dry and very hot conditions over the next several days.
Potentially record breaking heat is expected Friday and over the
weekend. This will lead to critical RHs, with humidities falling
into the single digits during the afternoon each day. Winds will be
the limiting factor for any critical fire weather conditions. A
strong ridge of high pressure over the Rockies will lead to light
winds across the area. However, daily afternoon chances for
scattered storms could lead to brief gusty conditions.
