Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Southeast Wyoming/Western Nebraska
National Weather Service CHEYENNE WY
222 PM MDT Sat Jun 29 2024

...ELEVATED FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS SUNDAY AND MONDAY FOR EAST
CENTRAL WYOMING...

.DISCUSSION...Generally, low fire weather concerns through the first
days of July with higher surface dew points and daytime minimum
relative humidities ranging from 20 percent to 45 percent across the
eastern plains. However, areas along the I-25 corridor in Converse
and Platte Counties (zones 417 and 418) might have a period of near
critical fire weather Sunday and especially Monday as a cold front
moves into the area. Otherwise, scattered showers and thunderstorms
expected on Sunday with thunderstorm coverage decreasing early next
week as drier air moves in behind the cold front.
