Regional Weather Summary
National Weather Service State College PA
545 AM EDT Mon Jul 1 2024

A large area of high pressure with Canadian origin will bring a
pleasant, cool start to the week. Variable amounts of morning
clouds will be followed by abundant sunshine, comfortable humidity
and high temperatures ranging from the upper 60s over the highest
terrain of the north and west to the mid and upper 70s
respectively throughout the Central and Southern Valleys.

A clear and chilly night with light and variable wind is in store
for tonight as the high moves nearly overhead. Widespread fog is
expected late tonight and early Tuesday throughout the valleys of
Northern Pennsylvania as a result of the warm streams and rivers,
cool air temperatures, light wind and moist ground from the recent
rainfall.

Lows at daybreak Tuesday will vary from the mid and upper 40s
throughout the perennial cold spots in the Northern Mountains to
the mid and upper 50s in the Lower Susquehanna Valley and Greater
Philadelphia Area.

A gradual warmup will begin on Tuesday with humidity increasing
and temperatures rising several more degrees Wednesday through
Friday.

Shower and thunderstorm chances return for Wednesday night through
the end of the week.
