...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Texas...

  Nueces River Near Tilden affecting McMullen County.

For the Nueces River...including Tilden...Minor flooding is forecast.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

...FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL SATURDAY MORNING...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Nueces River near Tilden.

* WHEN...Until Saturday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 15.0 feet, Much of the flood plain below cotulla to
  below tilden is cut off, as sloughs and peripheral channels fill.
  Hunting cabins, oil field pump jacks and tank batteries flood well
  away from the channel. Livestock are cut off and can drown.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 9:30 PM CDT Thursday the stage was 15.4 feet.
  - Bankfull stage is 11.0 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 9:30 PM CDT Thursday was 15.6 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
    late tomorrow morning and continue falling to 8.5 feet
    Tuesday evening.
  - Flood stage is 14.0 feet.
  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
    15.4 feet on 11/19/1995.
