...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 145 AM EDT TUESDAY...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of southeast South Carolina, including the
  following counties, Charleston and Colleton.

* WHEN...Until 145 AM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 1046 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
    shortly in the advisory area.
  - Heavy rain continues to fall across an area from around
    Kiawah Island, Seabrook Island, and Edisto Island. Automated
    rain gauges and radar estimates suggest that 1 to 3 inches of
    rain has fallen over the last hour and a half to two hours.
    Rain will continue to impact this area for at least the next
    hour, and an additional 1 to 2 inches will be possible. Minor
    flooding on area roadways is likely.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Edisto Beach, Johns Island, Folly Beach, Seabrook Island,
    Kiawah Island, Rockville, Edisto Island, Edisto Beach State
    Park and Beachwalker Park.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
