...FLOOD ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 830 PM EDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE...A portion of southeast South Carolina, including the
  following county, Charleston.

* WHEN...Until 830 PM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 607 PM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges
    indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is
    ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area.
  - Heavy rainfall has setup across portions of Mount Pleasant
    along Highway 17. This area already received an earlier round
    of heavy rain this afternoon. Additional rainfall amounts of
    1 to 2 inches can be expected over the next 60 to 90 minutes.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Mount Pleasant, McClellanville, Isle Of Palms, Awendaw,
    Garris Landing, Bull Island, Price Inlet, Lighthouse Island,
    Cape Romain and Capers Inlet.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
