...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHWESTERN PARK COUNTY THROUGH
500 PM MDT...

At 425 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Crescent Lake, or 18 miles northwest of Mammoth, moving east at 35
mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Gardiner, Chico Hot Springs, Chico, Corwin Springs, Emigrant, and
Jardine.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 800 PM MDT for
south central Montana.
