...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT SOUTHERN ORLEANS...NORTHERN
GENESEE...MONROE AND NORTHWESTERN ONTARIO COUNTIES THROUGH 1215 AM
EDT...

At 1143 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Hilton to near Albion. Movement was east
at 55 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Rochester, Greece, Irondequoit, Chili, Batavia, Brockport, East
Rochester, Medina, Albion, Hilton, Webster, Fairport, Brighton,
Gates-North Gates, Henrietta, Penfield, Le Roy, Pembroke,
Spencerport, and Byron.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 390 between exits 11 and 12.
 Interstate 90 between exits 45 and 48A.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

These storms may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
