...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT WEST CENTRAL WAYNE AND CENTRAL
MONROE COUNTIES THROUGH 1245 AM EDT...

At 1214 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Irondequoit, moving east at 45 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Rochester, Greece, Irondequoit, Hilton, Webster, Brighton,
Gates-North Gates, Ontario, Spencerport, Charlotte, Union Hill,
Rochester General Hospital, and Braddock Bay.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead
to localized flooding. Radar has estimated that the storm has a
history of generating over an inch of rain in less than an hours
time. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
