...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTHEASTERN ORANGE...SOUTH
CENTRAL CALEDONIA AND EAST CENTRAL WASHINGTON COUNTIES THROUGH 230 PM
EDT...

At 147 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Washington, moving east at 35 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Barre, Barre Town, Bradford, Orange, Topsham Four Corners,
Washington, Wells River Village, Websterville, Corinth, Newbury,
Barre City, Topsham, Newbury Village, Williamstown, Groton Village,
Ryegate, Groton, Wells River, East Ryegate, and Newbury Center.

This includes Interstate 91 between mile markers 100 and 114.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 800 PM EDT for
central and northeastern Vermont.
