259 FNUS55 KBOU 012100 FWFBOU Fire Weather Forecast for Northeast and North Central Colorado National Weather Service Denver/Boulder CO 300 PM MDT Mon Jul 1 2024 .DISCUSSION...Tonight and Tuesday... Drier Tuesday with above normal moisture exiting the region. Breezy conditions develop in the afternoon with WNW winds with gusts up to 20-25 mph. Min relative humidity values drop into the 20 percent range for most areas. The Cheyenne Ridge may dry out a bit more dropping to 16-20 percent for a short period in the afternoon. This could create brief elevated conditions in that area. Smoke dispsersal will be Good to Excellent Tuesday. LONG TERM DISCUSSION...Tuesday night through Saturday... Near critical fire weather conditions are possible Wednesday and Thursday for Fire Weather Zone 214, where relative humidities will drop to 10-16 percent and breezy westerly winds producing wind gusts up to 30 mph are expected. Wednesday will bring the best chance for wetting rainfall across the eastern plains. Drier conditions are expected for Thursday through Saturday. Cooler temperatures are expected Thursday and Friday, but Saturday warms back up to normal or slightly above normal temperatures. Smoke dispersals become very good to excellent Wednesday afternoon. ...Thunderstorms imply strong gusty erratic winds... ...All surface winds are 20-Foot...10-Minute averaged winds... ...CWR is Chance of Wetting Rain - 0.10 inch or more liquid... ...24 HR Trends are based on averages over the respective zone groups and may not match the actual forecast values shown in those groups...
